In 2014, the Utah Independent American Party gained ballot access in the State of Utah and has rapidly grown to over 30 thousand registered voters today. We are the third largest political party in the State of Utah, almost double the size of the Libertarian and Constitution Parties, and gaining speed to possibly surpass the Democrat Party.
In 2016 our candidate for the State Senate 16 race gained more votes than any third party or Democrat choice in 16 years. In 2014 our candidates in House Districts 75 and 64 did better than any other third party choice ever in those very Republican districts.
In this world with so much confusion among so many issues we apply the time Honored Holy and Just principles prescribed in the simple words of our country's founding documents, interpreted according to the original intent found in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
"History cannot give us a program for the future, but it can give us a fuller understanding of ourselves, and of our common humanity, so that we can better face the future." - Robert Penn Warren
"There will be two great political parties in this country. One will be called the Republican, and the other the Democrat party. These two parties will go to war and out of these two parties will spring another party which will be the Independent American Party."
Neighborhood Caucuses and Elections
On March 20th, 2018 we here at the Independent American Party of Utah. Invite all that are interested in being involved in the political process, or learning about the party. Seek out our 15 principles, our PEOPL process, as well as our State platform (can be found at the website UTAHIAP.COM); then invite all of your neighbors, friends and relatives to a location of your choice (which may be your home), and hold your own local neighborhood caucuses and or block meetings.
In these neighborhood meetings, delegates are selected and voted on in order to take up a governing role within the party, as well as select our party candidate nominees for the general election, and or primary. We want this system of governance by the people to be as easy and friendly as possible, in order to not only grow as a party, but that we as a party can elect the best candidates to properly represent our party, platforms, 15 principles and rules. To properly elect the most wise and honorable men and women to public office.
Those who vote must be either Independent American Party members or be willing to change party affiliation to Independent American Party before the vote takes place. One can simply login to our website at UTAHIAP.COM, then click on “more” at the top of the screen, click on “register to vote IAP”. This will take you to the voteutah.gov website. From there click on register to vote, and then fill in all the blanks and answer all the questions. Especially the party affiliation drop down menu and select Independent American Party.
Once your neighborhood delegates are selected and voted on. Please send us in email form the minutes of the meeting, along with the tally of the votes and whom your new delegates are to serve the next two years. We at that point will get the results to the current elected county and state leaderships of the party in preparation for State Convention. The State Convention will be on April 21st.
